• Start on knees
• Plant hands shoulders distance apart, fingers spread as wide as possible
• Plant crown of head 12 inches in front of hands (imagine a triangle from the hands and head)
• Elbows stay stacked over wrist (chaturanga arms)
• Once crown of head is in the earth, tuck the toes and lift the knees
• If you can’t bring legs to sky, bring to back of your triceps
• Hug the inner arms towards each other
• Belly in
• Thighs firm
• Big toes touch heels slightly apart
• Point trough the balls of the feet
• When you are ready to descend, use the strength of your core to slowly release feet back down to the mat.
• Rest in child’s pose for a few breaths
