Ali Owens

Yoga Teacher

Ali Owens is a Los Angeles based Yoga teacher and an accredited instructor of Ocean Yoga. A native of Arizona, she originally moved to California to pursue her education and passion for dance. It was in the World Arts & Cultures program at UCLA where she was introduced to Yoga and became instantly hooked on the benefits of the practice. At the completion of the course, she began regularly taking class at studios around Los Angles including YogaWorks and Exhale for Sacred Movement. Upon graduation, Ali began working for the Nederlander Organization as the Marketing Manager for the Greek Theatre and Pantages Theatre in Hollywood. She simultaneously enrolled in a Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher Training at The Yoga Collective in Santa Monica. It was only a few years after completing the training when she decided to leave her corporate job to pursue teaching full time. She now lives in Manhattan Beach and enjoys spending her time outdoors soaking in the California sunshine.

Ali’s classes are taught in a Vinyasa style, connecting each movement with the breath in a continuous flow sequence. This allows the breath to release tight muscles as well as stretch and strengthen areas of your body for greater health and mobility. The intention of each class is to bring you more present and into the moment. Her classes are heavily influenced by her extensive dance training and other accredited yoga instructors in the community.
